MARY BLUEPOCKET

This is by far the hardest poem I've written in awhile. The prompt was to write a nursery rhyme.

Mary Bluepocket went to town
In her mother’s wedding gown
She wore her shoes and a rosebud frown
Poor Mary Bluepocket

Mary was wed on Saturday
Stewart Snail gave her away
She honeymooned on Friday Bay
Poor Mary Bluepocket

Lester Lizard, Mary’s mister
Died of joy when he kissed her
She’s gone to live with her sister
Poor Mary Bluepocket
